Meet the Trust Curve

Forget funnels for a second. Your user isn’t moving from Visit → Signup → Purchase, they’re moving along a Trust Curve: Clarity → Confidence → Commitment.
First they need Clarity: “What is this, is it for me, what happens next, what’s the catch?” If they can’t answer those in 5 seconds, they bounce or stumble forward half-confused (which is worse, because now they don’t trust you and your metrics lie).
Once they get it, they’re looking for Confidence: proof you’ll do what you say—real testimonials, transparent pricing, low-risk first steps, no dark patterns. Only then are they ready for Commitment: invite teammates, integrate you, bet their time/reputation on you.
Most teams optimise for clicks; the real game is increasing trust per interaction. Next time you review a flow, ask: does this screen raise clarity, reinforce confidence, or earn commitment—and if not, why is it here?
